University-based Teacher Preparation Programs

There are a number of quality teacher preparation programs in local colleges and universities. Whether you are interested in going through the traditional route and earning an undergraduate degree in education, or have previously earned a baccalaureate degree and are seeking licensure, these programs prepare students to apply to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) for teaching licensure.

A quality teaching preparation program will integrate recent research, theory, and the best of practice to meet the educational needs of school districts.
